We enjoyed another visit from Zoolab earlier this year, this time showing the children a tortoise, a giant African snail and a tarantula, amongst others!
Welcome back for the summer term - we hope you all had a lovely Easter break. We would like to offer a warm welcome to Bert who joined us before Easter, and George who is joining us this week.
For the rest of this term, we will start to look at the Spring season, looking at new growth and baby animals. On Tuesday 26th March, we have a visit from Zoolab, who will be giving an hours presentation on spring animals, and bringing along some special animal guests – more information will be given nearer the time!
The Pre-school are running a Rugby Six Nations predictor league in the village in conjunction with the Kings Somborne School Association (KSSA). The first prize is 20% of the pot, 2nd 10% and 3rd 5%.
Very easy to enter you just predict the results and winning margin of each match!
Happy New Year and welcome back – we hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Our new topic will be related to winter weather, including looking at animals that live in cold climates. We will try to incorporate this theme into all areas of learning.

Welcome back to Autumn term at pre-school – we hope you all had a lovely summer break! We would like to offer a warm welcome to Leo, Megan, Tommy, Jamie-Lee and Stella-Barbara who are all joining us this term.
An opportunity has arisen to join the village Preschool team. We are looking for someone who has the energy, drive and experience to take on the challenge of helping to run a small village hall based preschool in a semi rural area. The deputy supervisor will have the responsibility of delivering high quality education and care for children aged 2-4 years in a safe and nurturing environment
First let me thank you to everyone who brought in sweets for the school fayre, Katie said how well the sweet stall went down and we made an excellent £150 towards pre-school resources which I am sure you will agree is fantastic. So thank you again for all your support on the day.
