DEPUTY SUPERVISOR – 8 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

An opportunity has arisen to join the village Preschool team. We are looking for someone who has the energy, drive and experience to take on the challenge of helping to run a small village hall based preschool in a semi rural area. The deputy supervisor will have the responsibility of delivering high quality education and care for children aged 2-4 years in a safe and nurturing environment. There are strong links with the village Primary Sschool, so an interest and ability in facilitating a smooth transition to the reception class is important. Previous experience in a committee led early years setting is essential, as you will be required to help manage resources effectively day to day in order to deliver an excellent preschool education for the children in line with EYFS, as well as opportunities to further develop this established setting. You must also have good communication skills with both adults and children, and be confident of managing a team in the absence of the supervisor.
Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:30am to 3:30pm, and Fridays 8:30am to 12:30pm term time only.
