Newsletter - 2nd half Autumn Term 2015

20 April 2016

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to be able to tell you that as a result of the interviews held last week, we have a new member of staff who will be starting after half-term. She is called Alison, and has plenty of experience, having previously worked at Broughton Pre-School. Alison will be working with us on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we would like to offer her a warm welcome to our team.

This Thursday, 22nd October, we will be holding a fund-raising cake sale in the school hall from 3:30pm. We would really appreciate it if you could support the event by baking some cakes for us to sell. If possible, please bring any cakes to the Village Hall by 2:30pm on Thursday, and we will transport them down to school. All funds raised will be put directly into new resources for pre-school, so please help if you can! Thank you in advance!

In connection with the cake sale, our cooking activity this week will be making Halloween biscuits on Thursday. We aim to make enough for the sale, as well as some for the children to take home! We will also be using the Halloween theme for our craft activities throughout the week.

This year we would like to support Children in Need by holding a 'Pyjama Day' at pre-school! There will be plenty of bedtime stories, and the children may wear pyjamas, slippers, dressing gowns and bring teddies if they wish, for a charge of £1. This will be held on both Thursday 12th and Friday 13th November, and we will provide cookies and milk for snack, so no need to bring snack items on these days. Any questions, just ask!

Thanks as always for your support – we hope you all enjoy the half-term break!

Becky, Katie and Diane.
